Tips for new moms, the bottle

Sunday | 18:10

Your first bottle! How to prepare? How do you know if it is too cold or too hot? Follow these suggestions when you make feeding your baby much easier.

Before the bottle: have clean hands. The area where you will prepare should also be clean.

Prepare the bottle at the last moment: do not prepare in advance. If you must leave, take a bottle with hot water in a thermos and powdered formula elsewhere. When the baby is hungry, mix and shake well the bottle.

The proper temperature for the bottle: it is recommended that the bottle at room temperature (such as milk). If you want heat, use a bottle warmer. We do not recommend microwaving, as the heat is not spread evenly and there may be burns.

If the milk is heated, the bottle should be taken half an hour. If it's natural, it should take an hour. And finally a classic. Before giving the baby milk, take a few drops from the bottle into your skin, specifically on the inside of the wrist to check his temperature.

How to wash the bottle? Ideally, wash right after a feeding. Then:
  • Rinse with cold water and milk particles unglued.
  • Dip everything in hot water with dish soap and use a brush to wash the bottle.
  • Let everything dry upside down without using cloths or towels to dry.
